BUCKHANNON. West Virginia - The Salem swim team traveled to Buckhannon, WV last night for a meet against West Virginia Wesleyan where both the men and women swept the floor, bringing home a win each. On the men's side, Wesleyan struggled to compete with the tigers tallying 42 points to Salem's 180. The women had a clear lead as well finishing with 141 points to Wesleyans 116. The tigers found themselves at the top of the board for every event and had an abundance of great times over the course of the meet.

The men's and women's medley relay team both secured first place, the women coming in with a time of 1:57:31 and the men, 1:45:15. Jaden Welsh had a great night in the pool placing 1
st in her 100 yard backstroke event with a time of 1:02:34, 1
st in the 200 yard back (2:12:85) and 1
st in the 500 yard freestyle (5:38:40). Cheyanne Rohde placed 1
st in the 50 yard Freestyle (25:87) and in the 100 yard freestyle (57:84). Fernando Gomez was well ahead of the competition in the 200 yard IM, coming in 1
st with a time of 2:07:75 and he was 1
st again in the 100 yard breastroke with a time of 1:01:45. Zachary Bell slotted himself in first place in the 50 free (49:11), coming in 0.02 seconds before his team mate
Brady Samuels. Bell was also well ahead of the competition in the 200 yard free coming in at 1:49:56.

st with a time of 2:01:78 and again in the 100 Fly recording a 54:48. With such great season starting times its put the swim team in good standings for the remainder of their season. Their next meet day will be on home turf, Friday November 4
th against Fairmont.
