Salem University Athletic Hall of Fame
Brian “BB” Boynton transferred to Salem-Teikyo University in the fall of 1999 and was the leading scorer that season, while also setting a then-school record with 28 two-point goals. The Vista, California native was awarded for his accolades in the water by becoming Salem’s first ever water polo player All-America selection.
Also a member of the swimming team, Boynton graduated in 2001 and furthered his playing career in 2004 as the captain of the Perth Torpedoes in Australia, where he averaged one goal per game.
After he finished playing at the international level, he went back to California from 2005-11 to become the head water polo coach at Palomar College, where he led the Comets to the Southern California Championships on two different occasions.
